Job summary

FASTSIGNS #132201 is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team. You will follow layouts to apply vinyl and graphics, prepare substrates, and perform finishing and quality checks.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years sign production experience, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand long periods, and work independently or with a team. We offer competitive pay, vacation, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters and graphics.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
• Clean driving record.
• Proficiently uses hand and power tools.
• Experience with scissor lift or bucket truck preferred but not required.
• Experience installing a variety of signs and graphics preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl and maintain production cleanliness.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform quality assurance by reading Work Orders and proofreading.
• Finish printing pieces with laminating and mounting.
• Report inventory levels and reorder needs to the center/production manager.
• Handle offsite sign and print media installations.
• Assess environments for installation needs and techniques.
• Review job requirements and verify measurements before starting.
• Work independently or with team members as needed.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist/Installer Will:

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Responsible for all offsite sign and print media installations
• Able to assess an environment for the needs and techniques of the installation
• Reviews job requirements and verifies measurements before starting
• Able to work independently and with other team members when required
• Clean and maintain storage areas
