Job summary

HeadHR is seeking an experienced SCADA/HMI engineer to support automation and modernization of steel and metals production. You will design, validate, and maintain Siemens SCADA/HMI systems, build alarms, trends, historian integrations, and work with OPC UA/DA and PLC drivers to ensure reliable plant operation.

Key requirements include 3+ years with Siemens SCADA/HMI, WinCC/VSS II, strong troubleshooting of connectivity, and good English (Intermediate+).

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Siemens SCADA/HMI.
• Experience with Siemens WinCC / VSS II.
• Understanding of OPC UA/DA and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Experience with alarms and trends; historian experience is preferred.
• Understanding of PLC–SCADA interactions, including tag management, data quality, and diagnostics.
• English level – Intermediate+ and above.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SCADA/HMI: screens, navigation, user roles, operational logic.
• Configure/manage alarms, trends, and historian integrations.
• Implement/support communications via OPC UA/DA and/or direct PLC drivers; manage tags.
• Participate in system testing, validation, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot runtime issues: alarms, trends, tag updates, communications, performance.
