  • Support active research projects by the continual assistant with ongoing experiments; maintain laboratory organization and safety, and help with inventory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field by start date.
  • Prior laboratory experience in an academic research setting required.
  • Experience with basic laboratory skills such as accurate pipetting, preparation of buffers and reagents, sample handling, record keeping, and adherence to laboratory safety procedures.
  • Candidate must be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow written orders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior research experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, or related biomedical field.
  • Experience with common laboratory techniques such as protein assays, gel electrophoreses, buffer preparation, sample processing, and data entry is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain careful records, and contribute to a collaborative laboratory.
Position Purpose

Continue research projects in the Siebert-McKenzie Research Laboratory.
