Job summary

Henry Ford Health's Surgical Intensive Care Unit – P4 in Detroit is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will assist in planning and implementing care for post-surgical patients within a diverse critical care team.

The role involves responding to emergent situations, maintaining standards of excellence, and contributing to ongoing education and professional growth in a busy SICU setting at the Detroit

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or equivalent is preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least one year of NA, PCT or PAT experience.
• May be enrolled in a nursing program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing.
• Foreign trained RN relocated to the United States without a Michigan license.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs as directed by the RN.
• Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Follow Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Nurse Assistant program completion

Medical Assistant program completion

At least 1 year of NA, PCT, PAT experience

Enrolled in nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed
