Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support the MICU Pods 1 & 2 at the Detroit Main Campus. The role operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with basic care, participating in care planning, and responding to emergencies. Ongoing education and adherence to hospital standards are required for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (or equivalent roles) is preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program is acceptable.
• At least 1 year of NA/PCT/PAT experience or enrollment in a nursing program is acceptable.
• Fundamentals of Nursing course completion is a plus.
• Foreign trained RN relocating to the U.S. without a Michigan license should apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Provide input to assist RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations per established procedures.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Adhere to Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence.
