Job summary

Henry Ford Health's Neuro ICU in Detroit seeks a Nurse Assistant to join a 16-bed unit within the Neurosciences Institute. You will work with intensivists, residents, and nursing staff to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to neurosurgical patients.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a CNA or Medical Assistant program, with at least one year of NA/PCT experience, or enrollment in a nursing program. BLS Heartsaver certification will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nurse Assistant program or similar (PCT/PAT) preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant program acceptable.
• At least 1 year of NA/PCT/PAT experience or current enrollment in nursing program.
• Foreign trained RN relocating to the United States without Michigan RN license.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Registered Nurses to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that prioritizes safety, comfort, and dignity for patients with complex neurosurgical needs.
• Actively contribute to care planning and implementation by providing observations and insights to help the RN optimize patient outcomes.
• Respond swiftly to emergent situations, following established protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive patient care and excellence.
