Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Medical Director to lead Sickle Cell Disease medical strategy within US Medical Affairs. The role partners with Global Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to guide scientific communication for physicians and patients.

You will establish thought leader relationships, identify care gaps, and support education and dissemination of evidence related to Pfizer medicines in SCD.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with 4+ years in pharma, clinical practice, or both.
• Strong knowledge of SCD and experience in Medical Affairs preferred.
• Ability to build relationships inside and outside Pfizer.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Team oriented with ability to coach others and lead in a matrix setup.
• Organized, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and execute US medical strategies for the SCD portfolio.
• Review and approve promotional and nonpromotional materials for fair balance.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Field Medical and other teams to set US strategy.
• Plan and lead advisory boards, congress events and symposia.
• Contribute to publication planning, data generation and medical education.
• Provide trusted medical knowledge on data, disease state, labels and competitive data.
• Develop and maintain HCP engagement plans with HQ Medical Affairs.
• Support congress activities with US and Global colleagues.
• Support dissemination of evidence via publications and scientific exchange.
• Contribute to medical training curricula and modules.
• Work with MI to input into Medical Letters and updates.
