Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Store Detective to deter theft and protect store assets across our retail locations. You will work a shift pattern including daytime and evening hours, and travel as required.

The ideal candidate will hold an SIA licence, have proven store detective experience, a valid PSA licence, a UK driving licence, and reliable transport. Excellent observation and reporting skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in the UK is required.
• Experience as a Store Detective is essential.
• SIA Licence is required.
• UK driving licence and own transport.
• Mature, responsible attitude and good observation skills.
• Experience using CCTV and electronic tagging systems.
• Must hold a valid PSA licence.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for loss prevention to prevent theft.
• Follow shoppers or staff who behave suspiciously.
• Take evidence from witnesses.
• Write short reports.
• Detain anyone attempting to leave the store with stolen goods.
• Handle sensitive situations professionally.
