Job summary

Benchmark in Minnesota is seeking a hands-on assembler to prepare products for systems level assembly. You will unpack, set up, assemble, and final-pack a range of subassemblies, ensuring accuracy and quality.

The role involves mentoring peers and following documented instructions across multiple steps in a fast-paced environment. The position is safety-sensitive with a 24/7 operation, requiring reliability, basic math, and strong attention to detail to meet customer needs and maintain quality

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in basic SI assembly (new build lines, subassembly/final assembly).
• Good component recognition skills.
• Understanding of basic computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.

Responsibilities

• Access paperwork and drawings for each job assignment.
• Verify kits, enter batch info, package and label items as instructed.
• Use mats and required tooling; check equipment for proper performance.
• Work under supervision with routings and process instructions.
• May assemble systems integration subassemblies and assist others.
• Enter data into PFS and link subassemblies to final unit.
• Record quantities in Operations Complete when required.
• Contribute to quality to meet customer satisfaction.
• Mentor co-workers and perform hand soldering/inspection as needed.
• Perform F-cert function and final inspection for defects.
• Add manuals, cables, labels per instructions.
• Support manufacturing engineering on prototypes and pre-production builds.
• Operate under moderate supervision and share knowledge with team.
