Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a Shuttle & Transport Driver in Des Moines, IA to transport beneficiaries and employees with safety and professionalism. Part-time role with 20 hours per week and flexible Monday–Saturday scheduling; benefits include vacation, sick time, holidays, and retirement options.

Responsibilities include transporting program participants and personnel, delivering packages, route planning, maintaining vehicle safety, and supporting the mission.

Qualifications

• At least two years licensed driving experience.
• Passing grade on the "Coaching the Experienced Driver" self-study course (or willing to complete).
• Valid driver's license to operate location's truck types.
• Clear MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) report.
• Strong communication skills with customers and helpers.
• Basic math skills.
