Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is hiring a parking attendant in Rye Brook, NY. You will inspect vehicles, assist customers, and maintain facilities while upholding safety and uniform standards. Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License: Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Availability to Work: 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and memos; present information in one-on-one situations.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with money.
• Appearance: Neat, clean, uniform.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and assist disabled passengers.
• Maintain cleanliness of buses and log trip counts.
• Be punctual and in uniform for scheduled shifts.
• Possess valid driver’s license and maintain DMV record.
• Assist customers and direct to Facility Manager when needed.
• Report accidents or safety hazards to Facility Manager.
• Assist with debris and spills communications.
• Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when authorized.
• Know garage layout and major streets in the area.
• Assist with luggage and traveling items when applicable.
