Job summary

SP Plus Corporation in Louisville, KY is hiring a Parking Attendant to assist customers, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure safety and cleanliness of the facility. You will be expected to be on time, in uniform, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License: Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Availability to Work: May require 3rd shift and/or weekends depending on location.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Math Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic with dollars.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors, fueling of buses, logging trip counts and assisting disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Have and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Assist Customers by answering questions or directing to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
• Report accidents, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills to garage office.
• Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when necessary.
• Know the garage layout and major streets, landmarks and freeways.
• Assist customers with luggage or traveling items when applicable.
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties.
