Job summary

FedEx in Sheridan, Wyoming is seeking a shuttle operator to perform loading and unloading of packages and to sort cargo in a fast-paced facility.

You will operate a light-weight vehicle under 10,000 lb gross and support daily logistics operations for on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Ability to operate with power and hand tools.
• Effective verbal communication in a noisy environment.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Basic English reading/speaking for signs and directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs shuttle functions using a vehicle under 10,000 lb gross weight.
• Loads and unloads aircraft/vehicles and sorts packages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Driver's vehicle not covered under section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
