Job summary

FedEx is seeking personnel for shuttle operations, loading and unloading aircraft and vehicles, and package sorting. The role requires basic training completion and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with support for heavier items as needed.

Candidates must read and communicate in English, be at least 21 years old, and complete required safety training. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position with evening shift hours and a focus on reliable, time-sensitive operations.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Must read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and official directions.

• Performs shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle, to load and unload aircraft/vehicles, and to sort packages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of equipment assigned.
