Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking personnel to perform shuttle functions using non-articulated vehicles, load and unload aircraft and vehicles, and sort packages. The role requires completing basic and currency training while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
  • Ability to work with power and hand tools.
  • Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Job Conditions

Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of equipment assigned.

Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, including, but not limited to, experience relative to the job, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.

Pay: $21.28 - $21.28
