Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a shuttle operator in Peabody, MA for evening shifts. You will load and unload aircraft/vehicles, sort packages, and perform other duties as assigned in a safety-conscious environment.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and to work in a noisy setting. Starting pay is $22.25 per hour with evening hours from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Recruitmentsupport@fedex.com is available for accommodations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
  • Ability to work with power and hand tools.
  • Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of equipment assigned.
