Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a shuttle operator based in the United States, responsible for loading and unloading at airports and facilities using a non-articulated vehicle. You will sort packages and assist with related duties as assigned.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and to read and speak English well in a noisy environment. Hours are Monday–Friday, 3pm–9pm; starting wage is $22.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment/assist.
• Must meet FMCSA Section 391 qualifications.
• Ability to read/speak English sufficiently to understand signs and respond to directions.

• Sorts packages and performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Ability to work with power and hand tools.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

• Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be licensed for type of equipment assigned.
