Job summary

US Foods is seeking drivers to operate tractor trailers delivering meats, produce and other products to remote sites. The role emphasizes safety, inspections, and reliability with a base pay of $20.40/hr plus component pay.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday with start between 2 PM and 5 PM. Compensation may include mileage and stops; benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans are noted. This position requires CDL A with doubles endorsement and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• Doubles endorsement required; doubles experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites.
• May perform Backhaul or Delivery Driver duties.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Primary function of this position is to drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites.

We help YOU make it! Our shuttle drivers make $20.40 an Hour + Component!

Schedule- Sunday - Thursday with Start time between 2PM - 5PM

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites
• May be called upon to perform duties of Backhaul or Delivery Driver
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions required

What You Bring To The Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• 6 months commercial driving experience required
• Doubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferred
• Must be comfortable working overnight
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $20.40 and $33.00 per hour. As applicable, this role will also receive component pay (i.e., mileage, stops).
