Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking Shuttle Drivers to operate tractor trailers delivering meats, produce, frozen foods and dry goods to remote dispatch sites, safely and on schedule.

During training you will earn $25.00 per hour, with potential annual earnings around $75K plus incentives; the role requires overnight availability, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and a valid CDL Class A with doubles endorsements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Must register to FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 6 months commercial driving experience required; doubles endorsement preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites.
• May be called to perform backhaul or delivery driver duties.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• 6 months commercial driving experience required
• Doubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferred
• Must be comfortable working overnight
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, & to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, & other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $25- 30 on a component pay structure.As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation
