Charlie's Family Of Dealerships in Augusta, ME is seeking a Shuttle Driver/Dispatch Supervisor to enhance the customer service experience by transporting customers to and from their homes or offices while service is performed on their vehicles. The role plans, organizes, leads and controls shuttle flow for the service department in a timely and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include maintaining a timely shuttle route, operating communications devices, and keeping records and logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives customers to homes or places of business and picks them up after vehicle repair.
• Uses good judgment and safe driving skills.
• Keeps a timely shuttle route.
• Must be physically able to drive a motor vehicle for periods of 8 hours or more.
• Assists passengers getting in and out of vehicles.
• Operates radio, cell phone or similar device to communicate with dealership or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Keeps a record of trips including names of passengers and destination or pick-up point.
• Uses dispatch log to track incoming shuttle requests, completed requests and time in/out.
• Maintains timely and professional contact with the service departments.
• Reviews job status frequently, logging status and reporting changes to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
