Job summary

Vital Records Control Companies in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Shred Specialist to support shredding operations and warehouse tasks. You will load, unload, and stage shredded material and operate shredding equipment to keep the daily work flow on schedule.

You’ll work as part of a safety‑conscious team, adhere to NAID standards, and perform routine maintenance on equipment while supporting a secure and efficient facility environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in manufacturing/warehouse preferred.
• 6 months forklift driving preferred.
• Knowledge of forklift truck driving and maintenance.
• Excellent physical ability; must lift a minimum of 75 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to withstand physically strenuous demands of lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading and staging of shredded paper, media, and product from VRC trucks at the assigned branch.
• Operate and maintain shredding and baling machinery at the branch.
• Ensure all paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required.
• Perform shredding operations in support of VRC's off-site shredding program.
• Operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area according to VRC and NAID standards.
• Perform weekly, monthly and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain a responsible approach to all security and safety matters related to the operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
