The Manager of Showroom Sales is a first-level managerial position responsible for leading the daily activities of a Design Sales team, focusing on sales strategies and showroom operations to enhance revenue and customer satisfaction. The role involves executing strategies to increase sales, expand market share, and meet operational goals, including annual sales, margins, and operating income.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new business and foster relationships in designated markets.
  • Recruit, train, lead, and develop team members.
  • Set clear goals and regularly communicate performance objectives to staff.
  • Document client interactions, preferences, and notes in CMT.
  • Promote the showroom through marketing, media, and events to maximize exposure.
  • Maintain and update design aid tools to support sales efforts.
  • Conduct outside sales calls and follow up on leads.
  • Ensure the safe operation of the showroom, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Plan and host events to attract new customers.
  • Manage showroom samples and merchandising displays.
  • Participate in industry events to network and promote the showroom.
  • Make team decisions within established policies and guidelines.
  • Recommend policy changes and provide team direction.
  • Oversee daily work schedules and plans.
  • Act as an advisor and resolve issues as needed.
  • Exercise judgment within policies and procedures.
  • Analyze situations and resolve problems effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of management experience.
