Job summary

Samuel & Sons in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Design Consultant to provide exceptional client service in our showroom, guiding product selection and order processing while supporting daily operations.

You will consult on pattern, color, and trim applications, generate quotes, manage orders, and coordinate shipments to enhance client satisfaction and drive sales growth. A design-forward mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of experience in sales, customer service, showroom, design, or another client-facing role.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and support sales processes.
• Associate/Bachelor degree in business, Design, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Experience in interior design, home furnishings, or showroom industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative design guidance on pattern, color, and trim applications to inspire clients.
• Generate quotes and orders with accurate follow-up.
• Manage full order lifecycle with internal support teams to resolve issues.
• Fulfill showroom sample requests and coordinate inventory as needed.
• Conduct stock checks and coordinate daily shipments and transfers.
• Coordinate special product requests and client-specific assignments.
• Outreach to build relationships and drive sales growth.
• Execute cross-selling strategies to reach revenue goals.
• Maintain showroom organization, displays, and product presentation.
• Stay current on industry trends and support outside sales initiatives.
