Job summary

Mubea in Florence, KY is seeking a Shotpeen Machine Operator to support the Coil Springs unit. The role involves working with robots, ovens, shotpeen and peening processes, and performing changeovers while ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be able to read and interpret documentation, operate measuring devices to 0.1 mm, and communicate effectively. Training on CNC/PLC and SPC documentation is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Read, write and understand job documentation.
• Physical coordination to lift and move product.
• Trainable with forklift truck.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Math ability including English/Metric conversions.
• Able to read and use measuring devices to 0.1 mm.
• Understand machine computer functions.
• Trainable with CNC, PLC controls and SPC documentation.
• Knowledge of HPP equipment and tools and tooling changes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a shotpeen machine and associated equipment.
• Use a forklift and other shop tools; perform changeovers.
• Work extended hours on feet; troubleshoot production issues.
• Document work and complete required paperwork.

This includes working with robots, on the oven, on the shotpeen machine, secondary peening and both hotset and coldest equipment.
