Job summary

Mubea is seeking a drawline operator in its Coil Spring Wire unit in Kentucky. The role involves preparing coil strands, loading into machines, and ensuring smooth operation for subsequent steps.

You will handle cranes and forklifts, perform paperwork, and maintain high safety and quality standards. The position requires physical stamina, ability to multitask, and proficiency with measuring devices, CNC/PLC controls, and SPC documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand job documentation.
• Physical coordination to lift and move product.
• Trainable with forklift truck.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Math conversions (English & Metric units).
• Ability to read, use and understand measuring devices.
• Ability to understand machine computer functions.
• Trainable with CNC, PLC controls and SPC documentation.
• Load material, perform changeovers, make needed adjustments during production and/or tooling changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a large strand of coil and load it into the machine.
• Ensure that the machine runs smoothly and is ready for the next step.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records.
• Operate crane and forklift as needed.
• Demonstrate self-sufficiency in production tasks.
• Work off-shift as required.

A drawline operator is an integral position in our Coil Spring Wire business unit. A drawline operator prepares a large strand of coil to go through the machine, loads it into the machine, ensures that it runs through smoothly and finally takes it out of the machine as it is now ready to be prepared for the next step. Computers are utilized in running the machine and programing it correctly.
