Job summary

Mindrift is running a research study in New York to understand how people who speak German use their phones and apps. We are seeking native German speakers in New York to join a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan.

The study covers German-language usage across daily digital activities. You will walk the research team through your phone habits, answer a short questionnaire, and you can choose what you share. Compensation is $100 per hour, with a maximum of $2,400 for the full study.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and currently living in NYC.
• Native German speaker who grew up in Austria.
• You use German in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
• You've used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.

Who we're looking for

• 18+ and currently living in NYC.
• A native German speaker who grew up in Austria.
• You use German in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
• You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon-Wed or Thu-Sat), starting October 16 on Friday.
• Not currently employed by a tech or AI company.

Great fit for international students, people new to NYC, and anyone between jobs or with a flexible schedule.

Compensation

$100/hour, up to $2,400 for the full study.
