Job summary

BrightStar Care seeks a Home Health Aide in Bloomington, MN to provide in-home care to clients on a 1:1 basis. You will assist with daily activities, personal care, and companionship, with shifts from early morning to evening to fit availability.

Responsibilities include bathing, meal prep, light housekeeping, and coordinating transportation. A compassionate, reliable caregiver with a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
• Experience providing care in home health or similar setting.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance and a reliable vehicle.
• Negative TB test or cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance clients' lives.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal prep and light housekeeping.
• Provide physical care including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments and social outings with transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behavior or needs to RN Case Manager.

We are seeking Short Shift caregivers to join our team at Brightstar! This position includes working with clients 1 on 1 in their homes providing assistance with daily actives such as personal cares, transferring, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship. If you are seeking a morning position this may be a great fit for you, we have shifts available between 6am and 10pm to fit your availability!

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, and needs.
• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

Requirements:

• A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
• Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
