Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all daily engineering, repairs and maintenance for AK shore facilities. You will work under site management and the Director of Facility Engineering to keep plants operating safely and efficiently.

You will lead the engineering team, manage capital projects, energy programs and process safety, ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting KPI targets across utilities and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years in maritime or food manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration.
• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to manage teams and lead cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering, repairs and maintenance of AK shore facilities.
• Direct and manage the engineering department activities and KPIs.
• Lead capital projects with budgeting, scheduling and compliance.
• Ensure energy management, preventative maintenance and process safety programs.
• Coordinate training and qualification for shoreplant staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards across facilities.
• Collaborate with HR and management on personnel issues and actions.
