Job summary

BGRE at Christiana Mall in Newark, DE seeks a General Manager to lead the property team, drive performance, and strengthen community ties in alignment with Brookfield’s standards. You will guide operations, safety, tenant relations, and financial planning to achieve business goals.

The role requires 5+ years of center leadership, a relevant degree, and strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and team development; on-site MOD duties apply. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of shopping center leadership experience required.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Operate a clean, well maintained property and provide guests with a positive shopping experience.
• Prepare and manage multi-year capital and operating expense plans.
• Own key metrics such as NOI, cash flow, occupancy, sales and property financing.
• Develop and lead the property team while ensuring policy compliance.
• Build strong tenant relationships and engage with local officials and stakeholders.
• Support safety, health and environmental programs and Brookfield Life Saving Principles.
