Job summary

Forvia is seeking a Shopfloor Logistics Supervisor in an on-site Michigan facility to manage internal material flow from receipt to shipping. The role focuses on ensuring timely customer delivery, production line supplies, and visual management while coordinating with quality, production, and engineering to optimize plant operations.

The candidate will lead logistics teams, implement 7 Delivery/Inventory basics, and drive productivity gains, while complying with ISO 14001/45001 HSE procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or similar preferred.
• Experience in production or logistics in an industrial setting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supervision and material handling.
• Experience utilizing SAP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate production lines supplies; supervise unloading of pieces; manage supplier metrics and zone picking warnings.
• Conduct booking operations, traceability, labeling, and container management to support logistics basics.
• Identify and implement productivity gains; train and coach logistics operators’ teams.
• Ensure adherence to 7 Delivery Basics and 7 Inventory Basics; maintain HSE compliance across areas of responsibility.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the company.
