Ford Motor Company is seeking a Material Handling Supervisor to manage daily facility operations, ensuring efficient material flow from receiving to delivery and optimal resource allocation. You will support the Ford Production System, lead lean initiatives, and supervise unionized hourly staff to uphold high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required, with a focus on data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.
• Leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors and strong interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily material handling operations, ensuring proper material flow from receiving to delivery.
• Allocate resources to cover material handling duties and support Ford Production System.
• Lead lean manufacturing practices and coordinate with unionized hourly personnel.
• Plan for introduction of new parts via cross-functional communication and Engineering Change Process.
• Identify data gaps in the Common Material Management System and drive improvements.
• Coordinate transportation of end items through the network to customers.
