Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Shop Welder in Braddock, PA. The role involves reading blueprints, selecting welding methods, and assembling components for welding, with emphasis on pipe and TIG welding. You will work in a team-oriented, nationwide project environment.

Ideal candidates will have welding experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, pass welding tests for stick and flux core, and follow safety procedures. We offer competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to authorize drug testing (pre-hire, random, post-incident).
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Be able to pass welding tests for stick and flux core.
• Good communication and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate welding tools and align parts with jigs, clamps, calipers, and rulers.
• Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Repair machinery by welding pieces and filling gaps as needed.
• Perform basic safety checks and maintain a clean work area.
• Inspect, set up, and rig equipment on job sites as required.
