Qualifications

• 1–2 years minimum uninterrupted FCAW experience.
• Proficiency in multiple welding processes, blueprint reading and metal fabrication.
• AWS D1.1 welding code knowledge.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, problem solving, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear proper PPE.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and welding procedures to determine sequences.
• Prepare metal components by cutting, grinding and shaping to precise measurements.
• Perform welding processes such as FCAW to join structural parts.
• Inspect welds visually and with nondestructive testing as required.
• Select appropriate metals/alloys and troubleshoot welding issues.
• Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment and adjust parameters.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to ensure alignment and fit-up.
• Maintain detailed records of welding activities and inspections.
