Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in New Stanton, PA is seeking a Shop Technician II to support machining, mechanical assembly, and refurbishment of equipment at our New Stanton facility. This on-site role involves operating CNC tools, setting up fixtures, and performing inspections under the supervision of the Assistant Area Manager, Mechanical.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection experience, a US Journeyman Certification, and the ability to lift 50

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection experience.
• Journeyman Certification (US DOL) required or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Verify semi-complex dimensions with measuring instruments and analyze specifications to determine tooling.
• Comprehend fundamentals of mechanical parts and equipment and machine metal work pieces, tools or parts.
• Set up and operate machine tools, surface grinders, lathes and milling machines.
• Program, Set-Up and Operate CNC Machine Tools.
• Design and fabricate fixtures for machining.
• Maintain ANSI Level I Certification for Mechanical Testing and Inspection as applicable.
