Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of mechanical shop experience.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • This safety-sensitive role may be subject to drug testing.
  • Read, understand and speak English.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, oversee repairs and maintenance; maintain records of breakdowns and part usage; investigate root causes.
  • Assist shop with problem identification, troubleshooting and equipment issue resolution; determine rework/repair/scrap decisions.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory; may use a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate and direct contractors for repairs and installations; maintain good relations with internal customers and contractors.
  • Maintain toolkit, supplies, and requisite tool inventory.
  • Conduct facility and equipment inspections as part of Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Lead Lean 5S+1 project as a role model.
  • Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Utilize hand or power tools and heavy equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
  • Assist with inventory counts of current stock levels to identify shortages or excesses.
  • Complete inspections and repair parts and routine maintenance on capillary trailers.
  • Deliver parts to technicians on job sites.

We are looking for a Gas Lift Shop Technician located in Odessa, TX. The Shop Technician will be hands‑on mechanical specialist responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gas lift equipment, ensuring operational reliability, and supporting overall shop activities.

What You Will Do
  • Attend to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and oversee equipment improvements and time critical repairs; maintain preventative maintenance and breakdown report and part usage records; investigate the root cause and recommend course of action.
  • Assists shop on problem identification, trouble shooting and equipment issue resolution and repair. Evaluate non-conforming products to determine appropriate requirements to rework, repair, or scrap items.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and may use a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate and direct contractors for specialized repairs and installations; maintain good working relations with internal customers and contractors.
  • Maintain toolkit, supplies, and requisite tool inventory.
  • Conduct facility and equipment inspections as a part of the Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Lead and implement Lean 5S + 1 project as a role model.
  • Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Utilize hand or power tools and heavy equipment, such as, forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe, reliable manner.
  • Assist with inventory counts of current stock levels to identify potential shortages or excesses.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED
  • 2 years of mechanical shop experience
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Valid drivers license

  • Read, understand and speak English
  • Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as required
