Job summary

SLB is seeking a Pump Repair Technician in Odessa, TX to interface with customers, manage repair of parts and pumps, and support warehouse operations. The role requires mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

You will pull inventory, assemble/disassemble rod pumps, load/unload shipments, and maintain a safe work environment while delivering pumps to customer sites. Requires valid Texas driver’s license, good driving record, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license in state of residence required.
• Must be 21 years or older to operate company vehicle.
• Read, understand, and speak English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good driving record.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Solid technical skills for measuring machines and metalworking.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documents.
• Self-motivated and disciplined with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills for multi-task handling.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers and manage repair of parts and pumps.
• Interface with warehouse operations and manage inventory.
• Assemble and disassemble rod pumps.
• Perform standard warehouse duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Load and unload trucks of parts and pumps.
• Answer phones and greet customers.
• Repair pumps and deliver to customer locations.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Will Do:

• The Pump Repair Technician’s role is to interface with customers, manage repair of parts and pumps and complete various warehouse management responsibilities.
• Position requirements include strong interpersonal skills, highly self-motivated, ability to work both independently and team-oriented, mechanically inclined.
• Manage and pull inventory
• Assemble and disassemble rod pumps
• Standard warehouse duties
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Load and unload trucks of parts and pumps when delivered to the warehouse
• Answer phones and greet customers
• Repair pumps and deliver to their location
• Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license in state of residence required
• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate company vehicle
• Read, understand, and speak English

• Basic math and analytical skills
• Solid technical skills to understand computerized measuring machines and metalworking processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documents
• Must be self-motivated and disciplined to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Good organizational skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• The employee is regularly required to talk or hear
• The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
