Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power seeks a Shop Technician - HAC in Albuquerque, NM, onsite. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling compressors, engines, and related equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read schematics are essential.

You will work with the overhaul shop team, order parts, and ensure a safe, efficient workshop environment while maintaining quality service for our customers.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, repair, or rebuild compressors and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with rotary screw oil-free compressors preferred.
• Proactive and reliable team player with safety consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, and perform repairs including overhauls on equipment to get it ready for service.
• Order parts for repairs and machine parts to spec; consult with field staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety rules.
• Adapt to changing requirements as directed by the Field Service Manager.
