Job summary

SitePro Rentals in Dayton, TX is seeking an experienced Shop Technician to diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, A/C, ECM software, and related components. You will lead by example, mentor junior technicians, and ensure every machine leaving the shop is safe and reliable.

You will apply advanced diagnostic tools, work on complex repairs, and uphold SitePro standards while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of equipment repair experience with a high school diploma or trade school preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of dirt-engaging, aerial, and lifting equipment incl diesel/gas engines, schematics, A/C, ECM software, and diagnostics.
• Strong mechanical ability with experience in rebuilding, failure analysis, quality inspections, forklifts, cranes, and hand tools.
• A safety-first mindset with strong communication, dependable attendance, and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment: troubleshoot diesel/gas engines, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, and electronic control systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Handle complex repairs: remove, rebuild, install, and adjust engines, pumps, hydraulic motors, controllers, valves, and track assemblies.
• Own quality: perform failure analysis, plan repair costs, order parts, and ensure repairs meet SitePro standards.
• Lead by example: work safely, support customers, communicate with shop leadership, and mentor junior technicians.
