Job summary

SitePro Rentals in Austin is seeking an experienced Technician 2 to keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work. You’ll diagnose complex issues and complete repairs right the first time, with attention to detail making a real daily impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of equipment repair or related industry experience.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and travel to customer sites.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment across engines and hydraulics.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment; complete component rebuilds and basic welding.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements on every job.
• Maintain service records and communicate with customers and team.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment across engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, lifting systems, drive components, and more.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to identify failures, potential problems, and safety concerns, completing component rebuilds, basic welding, and repairs as needed.
• Put safety first on every job by following proper equipment procedures and all company, DOT, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Take ownership of the work by maintaining accurate service records, parts and supplies, company vehicles, training requirements, and strong communication with customers and the team.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of equipment repair or related industry experience, along with strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and knowledge of material handling equipment.
• A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; mechanical or trade school training and technician certifications are preferred.
• The ability to use precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges; welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
• A customer-first, team-minded approach, plus the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, furnish your own tools, travel to customer sites, work in a shop environment, and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.
