Job summary

EquipmentShare is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Phoenix, AZ, to service a wide range of rental equipment and aerial lifts. You’ll manage work orders, monitor service intervals, source parts, and diagnose issues using real-time data across multiple makes and models.

You will maintain thorough electronic records, assist with equipment pickups/deliveries, and participate in ongoing OEM training.

Qualifications

  • Must own tools applicable to position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an understanding of schematics.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders using our tech system.
  • Track machine service intervals and order parts.
  • Diagnose issues quickly and determine corrective actions.
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed daily.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred).
  • Participate in OEM training opportunities year-round.

(This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided)Primary ResponsibilitiesAs a Shop Technician, you’ll use our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models.
