Job summary

Paragon Pro Rentals in Henderson, NV seeks a skilled equipment service shop technician to diagnose, service, and repair rental gear. You’ll work largely independently with guidance from supervisors and report to the store or branch manager while serving customers in the rental shop.

The role requires 2+ years hands-on equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, a clean driving record, and a complete set of basic mechanic tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Valid Driver's License with clean MVR.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within construction or equipment rental industry.
• Two or more years of hands-on equipment and/or engine experience, diagnostics and troubleshooting with rental equipment.
• Must possess a complete set of basic mechanic hand tools.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and integrity with customers and coworkers.
• Excellent communication skills.

The equipment rental service shop technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repair, and preparation of rental equipment. This is a skilled technician position working largely independently with guidance from supervisors or service mentors. The rental service shop technician reports to rental store manager or branch manager and serves customers located in the rental store.

Essential Functions

• Service and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Heavy Equipment and Scissor Lifts to ensure optimal performance and safety.


• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site or in the shop.


• Recondition and repair equipment and components.


• Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases.


• Gas and diesel engine, construction equipment and/or truck engine training through accredited technical schools or relevant military experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
