Job summary

James River Equipment is seeking EXPERIENCED technicians for a Shop Tech opening at our Amherst location. The role covers Monday–Friday with rotating Saturday mornings, performing diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and documenting work.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, preferably heavy equipment/agr/turf.
• Experience with diesel equipment and related systems is preferred.
• Willingness to learn through ongoing training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment as directed by Service Manager.
• Completes reports and forms related to work assignments and maintains shop records.
• Maintains shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment in good condition.
• Follows all safety rules and uses proper PPE during work.
