Airglas, part of Victor Sierra Aviation, is seeking a Shop Technician to support assembly, fabrication, and finishing of aviation components in a hands-on Anchorage shop. You will follow procedures, use hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting quality standards.
Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma and a hands-on background in manufacturing or aviation, with a strong detail orientation and reliability.
Victor Sierra Aviation (VSA) is the parent company of McFarlane Aviation, McFarlane Alaska, Tempest Aero Group®, Av8, Airglas, and Aviation Products Systems. We acquire and build businesses that lead in engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of exceptional aerospace products globally.
Airglas is part of the Victor Sierra Aviation family, a trusted name in aviation manufacturing and aircraft parts distribution. Our Anchorage facility is a worldwide manufacturer of aircraft landing skis for fixed wing, helicopter, and military aircraft. We also design and manufacture cargo pods that extend mission flexibility without sacrificing durability.
The Shop Technician supports the manufacturing and assembly of high-quality aviation products and components in a hands-on shop environment. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. You do not need to know everything about aviation to succeed in this role. If you enjoy building and working with your hands, and care about the quality of what you produce, we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality work. Previous manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical, automotive, aviation, or similar shop experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
At Victor Sierra Aviation, you’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the future of aviation manufacturing and support. Whether you’re assembling components, innovating new processes, or collaborating across our family of operating companies, your work directly contributes to keeping the skies safe and our customers flying. We believe in craftsmanship, integrity, and teamwork—values that define everything we do.
Victor Sierra Aviation is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We make employment decisions based on qualifications, merit, and business needs—without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
