The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a busy machine shop environment. The candidate will assist with disassembly of rotating equipment, prep parts for balance and painting, and help with logistics and shipping.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience working in an industrial or machine shop setting preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience with component assembly and dynamic balancing preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and a commitment to safety excellence.
• Understand and comply with safety policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist disassembly of rotating equipment.
• Steam clean and solvent clean parts.
• Prep and paint parts with approved coatings (training provided).
• Prepare shop equipment (balance machines, lathes, mills) for painting per RMS specs.
• Fabrication and welding of fixturing and skids per RMS specs.
• Tack welding of balance weights for balance technician.
• Assist machinist with set ups or moving parts to and from machines.
• Assist with logistics and prepare/box parts for shipment.
• Operate a forklift (training provided).
• Work may involve occasional evenings or weekends depending on project needs.
