Position Summary

Oversee and manage service operations at a specified shop location, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the service centers. Responsibilities include leadership, operational management, and customer service duties outlined below.

Areas of Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide direction and leadership to shop operations
    • Supervise and support mechanics
    • Monitor and assess shop performance
  • Operational Oversight
    • Collaborate with Service Managers to set and monitor KPIs related to service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
    • Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring workflow, resource allocation, and timely repairs
    • Implement standardized processes, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand needs and ensure satisfaction
    • Work with Service Managers to address customer inquiries and concerns promptly
  • Employee Management and Development
    • Supervise all shop employees
    • Enforce policies, including discipline and termination
    • Approve employee time records and PTO requests
    • Conduct performance evaluations
    • Coordinate training to keep technicians updated
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and automation to enhance operations and service quality.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards
    • Address safety or compliance issues promptly
    • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and audit reports on KPIs
    • Promote clear communication across service centers

Additional responsibilities include crisis management, equipment maintenance, and communication of repair needs, ensuring a clean and organized shop environment.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English for documentation
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose mechanical issues related to trucks and trailers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trailer and truck mechanical systems and repair experience
  • High School Diploma or GED; ASE certifications preferred
  • Experience requirements: 5+ years for Class A, 3-5 years for Class B, 1-3 years for Class C mechanics
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing and background checks
  • Attention to detail, efficiency, mechanical acuity, and basic math skills

Tool Requirements (if hired as Working Supervisor): Toolbox, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Hammers, Punches, Flashlight, Pneumatic tools.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to pass drug test and physical exam
  • Capability to work in uncomfortable conditions, physically demanding tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions
