Job summary

Datamax is seeking a detail-oriented In-House Shop / Setup Technician to prepare, configure, test, refurbish, and stage copier and printer equipment prior to delivery. This role ensures machines arrive fully operational and ready for installation, supporting technicians and customers in Little Rock, AR.

The position requires hands-on experience with copier/printer service, IT support, and electronics repair, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in copier/printer service or IT support.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and troubleshoot mechanical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure copiers and printers including accessories.
• Update firmware and apply configuration standards.
• Verify serial numbers, meter readings, and equipment specs.
• Configure network-connected printers and set IP addresses.
• Perform comprehensive equipment testing before delivery.
• Maintain setup records and documentation.
