Job summary

Crown in Hicksville, NY is seeking a field technician to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks. You will perform planned maintenance on customer equipment and handle paperwork after each job, with welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

The role requires basic mechanical and electrical aptitude, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. Lift-truck experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals.
• Industry related training.

Competitive Wages. The anticipated starting pay range for the position is $25-30; however, skills and related experience will be taken into consideration
