Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a field service technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair lift trucks at customer sites. You will perform planned maintenance, manage a service van and parts inventory, and complete all required paperwork after each job.

The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, with preference for experience reading service manuals and working with various testing equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vehicle operation and safe crane/lift truck handling skills preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
• Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.
• Industry related training is preferred
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through
