Job summary

Redline Precision Group LLC is seeking a Shop Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our machine and pump repair shop. You will own throughput, quality, scheduling, procurement, and the performance and development of the shop team, while partnering with ownership on branch financial performance and eventual P&L responsibility.

This is a working leadership role requiring presence on the shop floor and comfort discussing both technical and commercial aspects of every job.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a machine shop or repair shop.
• Strong people management and hiring capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shop activity, prioritizing jobs and scheduling to meet commitments.
• Maintain visibility on active jobs and communicate changes to customers and ownership.
• Manage shop capacity across machining and pump repair; maintain equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise, schedule, and develop shop personnel; enforce safety practices.
• Own quality control for all work leaving the shop; establish inspection practices and document results.
• Source and purchase materials; obtain quotes and manage vendor relationships; maintain inventory.
• Draft invoices and support job costing; maintain accurate job records and assist in quotes.
• Partner with ownership on branch P&L, identify margin improvements and cost controls.
• Investigate quality escapes and implement corrective actions; drive continuous improvement.
• Experience with ISO 9001 familiarity; prior profit and loss responsibility.
• This role requires standing on shop floor and lifting up to 50 pounds.
