Job summary
The Specialty Manufacturing Company is seeking a Technical Lead for our Multi-Turret area. This role bridges engineering, production, and the shop floor, providing advanced technical support, process leadership, and daily guidance to machinists in a precision environment.
You will optimize processes, troubleshoot CNC issues, support programs, and mentor the team to meet print requirements and quality standards. Onsite, fast-paced shop with growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in machining with multi-turret functions.
- Advanced machining knowledge: CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis equipment, precision measurement tools.
- Blueprint & GD&T proficiency: interpret complex prints and apply tolerances.
- CNC programming familiarity: G-code, CAM software, or controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak).
- Training and development: build technical capabilities and training docs.
Responsibilities
- Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times and tool life.
- Troubleshoot CNC issues and address setup challenges.
- Provide program support with G-code edits and toolpath adjustments.
- Document best practices with setup sheets and work instructions.
- Lead daily shop activities and mentor machinists.
- Support new product introduction and prototype machining.
